A very important purpose of mediumship is to provide evidence regarding the afterlife. The most obvious way is mental mediumship which works with clear perception (perception).
The medium perceives as being through his own senses. This clear perception can manifest itself through clairvoyance, clear hearing, clear feeling and/or clear smelling.
What is evidence of life after death?
A medium obtains information from a deceased person and relates it to someone present. Often it is someone you know such as family, friends or close acquaintances. The evidence can happen during a public demonstration, during spiritualist church services or private sessions where more details can be addressed.
We have to accept that at the moment it is non-scientific proven that there is life after death. However, mediums pursue through evidence a give such weight that individual doubts can be removed. By contacting the spirit world, a medium can provide such information that evidence as such is provided.
Step 1; who is trying to communicate?
A medium's first task is to establish the identity of the person they are in contact with. They do this by providing enough information so that the identity can be unambiguously established and no confusion between different people arises.
Step 2; information on events after death
However, should this information refer to situations during their being alive, it still does not prove that they have died and continue to exist in an afterlife. The afterlife is then proven by describing events that happened AFTER death and thus could not have been physically known to the deceased.
Step 3; information the recipient does not know
Should all the information given be known, the perception could also come based on alignment between medium and the person for whom the information is intended. A third level of evidence is information you are not familiar with. Here it will be necessary to investigate on your own and thus prove the existence of the afterlife.
The message
Closing a sighting often follows another message, or reason for the presence of the deceased. This may be briefly the deceased's expression of love or a more detailed and/or extended message. In my experience, the evidence is often already indicative of the reason for communicating.
Suppose; you have financial problems and go to a medium, then the spiritual world is intelligent enough to let e.g. someone communicate who can help with that and thus kill two birds with one stone.
When all the above falls into place, we only need to ask ourselves one more question: what is the most obvious single source where this information could have come from? Mediums hold that it comes from those who have died but still live on and want to make that clear to us.
