We have been given a body, yet we build temples, churches and other houses of worship. We have been given ears, yet we only listen to others whose word we take for truth. We have been given eyes to see, but we only look outside ourselves. We feel, but only what the other does to us. Our attention is not focused on what is already inside us, but only what is happening outside us. We are only observers of half-truths. Our attention goes outside and we lose its power.
