Religion is taken far too seriously
Not ‘a‘ religion, but joy is religion! I don't know about you, but when I meet a good friend of mine, that makes me happy. However, if you look around the world, especially where religion is concerned, religion seems to bring very little joy. Then the hallmark of religion is more that we mostly disagree with each other and use that to make each other's lives miserable. Don't worry; I take spirituality, religion and mediumship very seriously indeed! But with a smile. Yet I also see things different during demonstrations of mediumship.
Joy creates energy
Many mediums call it sitting ‘in the power’, and they do it before giving a demonstration. Then a serious song is put on, because it supposedly increases the energy, they close their eyes and then .......... as an audience you then sit and watch the mediums find tuning with their eyes closed. I've actually never really understood that. The music ends and a medium gets up to give a demonstration. What you then mainly see is that the energy has meanwhile reached ‘North Pole’ level and the medium has to work very hard to get the first contact. Logical! There is absolutely no joy, no excitement that a contact may occur. POTUS, how wonderful isn't it that contact is allowed to develop between the two worlds, that's something to celebrate, isn't it?
Religion is like ordinary life
Of course, it is not like this everywhere. Wonderful the demonstrations where there is singing beforehand and then the medium makes the first contact with a smile. And of course there are serious conversations, but above all beautiful reunions between loved ones, acquaintances, friends or colleagues. Sometimes something needs to be expressed that in life there was no more time for. Sometimes it is just a message that all is well. But religion is about life, survival and the creative power we have as human beings. And from that creative power comes joy. We make art, music, food, clothes because it makes us happy. It is an expression of ourselves, our joy and... our anger as well. We are allowed to show our emotions, that is religion.
A message of joy in many dialects
But let's not take religion too seriously! Look at the dancing Sufi dervish, the worshippers addressing their chants to God or the gospel choirs finding harmony with each other. Religion may be celebrated, the connection with each other only grows stronger that way. Let joy connect us to each other. God speaks one message in many dialects, not being able to understand one does not mean that the message is radically different. In every dialect, God speaks her word of love and brotherhood, that it may see that we are all one.
